We are the VOICE of SCP
in the Asia-Pacific region

The Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP) is an international, not-for-profit organization established to foster dialog and partnerships through multi-stakeholder process to enhance and strengthen cooperation in the development and implementation of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) policy and strategies in Asia and the Pacific. APRSCP works extensively to promote SDG 12 and SDG 17 and, through our various activities, contribute towards the achievement of SDGs and promote a blue-green economy in the region.

APRSCP

The Organization was established in 1997, known then as Asia Pacific Roundtable for Cleaner Production (APRCP), which held regional meetings on cleaner production with the support from United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and other partners. These meetings confi¬rmed the importance of promoting cleaner production and resource efficiency. With a global shift to include sustainable consumption for transforming the economy on the sustainable development path, it was renamed APRSCP, weaving SCP into broader policy platforms on sustainable development, at the 6th Regional Roundtable held in Melbourne, Australia in 2006.
